Central office for the accelerated skilled labour procedure

On October 15th, 2024, the state government of Lower Saxony decided to establish a new Central Office for the Accelerated Skilled Worker Procedure (§ 81a of the Residence Act). This Central Office is part of the Lower Saxony State Reception Authority.

The Central Office begins operations on July 1st, 2025. The goal is to relieve municipal immigration authorities by centrally processing the Accelerated Skilled Worker Procedure applications and ensuring uniform implementation throughout the state.
